We will not be doing CSA in 2014. We'll still be gardening and may have produce to offer though. We'll post on Facebook and Instagram when there's fresh stuff to purchase!
2013 CSA Information
We are offering an 18 week share, beginning the first weekend of June and ending the last weekend of September. Each share is a half bushel of a variety of produce that will change over the course of the season. You can see the varieties of produce being grown by clicking on the "What's Growing" tab above. Our seeds are all GMO-free and we use only sustainable methods to grow. No chemicals here, just healthy veggies for happy people.
One share is $350, which equals about $19.50 a week for a half bushel of organic produce. Sign up by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is the CSA agreement:
So it seems appropriate to stop and talk a bit about what Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) means.
A CSA model is a partnership between growers and eaters with shared benefits and risks. At the beginning of the season, "subscriptions" are available. This basically means for a set price that is paid up front (or maybe in a couple installments) you will receive fresh produce for the duration of the season (in this case, 18 weeks). On the off chance that flaming comets hit earth and destroy our garden we both take a loss. In the more likely instance that there is an overflowing bounty, we both benefit.
