This Week's Highlights

The highlight of the week: receiving our first shipment of seeds.

Our CSA shares are spoken for, seeds are arriving... I've almost convinced myself it's spring. Last weekend was spent with Elaine (Andrew's mom) plotting out the lifecycle of each thing we're growing: when to start indoors or direct seed, when to transplant, when it will be ready to harvest. Of course it's all a little contingent on weather, but we're starting to have a pretty clear idea of what each week's CSA basket will contain.

We're also in the midst of having a logo designed by a real professional! We're excited to share it when it's complete.

Happy January to you all!

2013 CSA Share Offerings

Two shares in this year's CSA have opened up! We are so excited to be growing such a wide variety of beautiful and delicious veggies. Full information on CSA shares is here but the quick and dirty is 18 half bushel deliveries, starting the first weekend of June and ending the last weekend of September. One share is $350.

Head over to our What's Growing? page to see the full list of vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers we are growing this season. We are really excited about all the heirloom varieties we're growing. All of the plants will be grown without chemical fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, or any other -cide. The seeds are all non-GMO and obtained from either Johnny's Seeds, Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, the garden at the Oliver H. Kelly Farm, or are seeds saved by Andrew's parents, Loy & Elaine, from their past gardens.

If you would like a share or have questions, please email us at, talk to us on Facebook, or catch us in person! We're really excited to grow for you!

Mid-January Happenings

Good morning!

One of the best and most exciting things on our winter horizon is... we're going to the MOSES Organic Farming Conference! We learned yesterday that we were awarded scholarships to attend the 3-day event. I couldn't be more excited.  There are tens of workshops and talks to choose from and hundreds of farmers attending from all over the country. Are any of you planning on going?
